Where did LMC come from?
The move to being an independant business was born from a desire to utilise the breadth of skills and knowledge that have been gathered over an 18 year career in professional services consultancy. Partly driven by a self-maniacal sense of self achievement and drive to be a better version of myself, and not be consumed with climbing someone elses ladder, and partly driven by a basic desire to have control over my time and that which is freely available for my family and friends.
Meet the Team
Luke McCarthy
Luke is the Director of LMC which he established in January 2017. He is passionate about getting the right stuff done and not wasting energy. Luke has gathered a broad set of skills since graduating in 1997 across environmental projects, asset management planning, roading network management, project and contract management. He is a person who gets things done, is not afraid to make decisions and enjoys some fun along the way.
Janette Underwood
Janette joined LMC in April 2019 and brings over 20 years of experience in consulting and local government. She has significant traffic engineering experience across all aspects of the profession, with skills in traffic engineering and safety auditing, author and reviewer of traffic impact assessments associated with planning applications for network operational and road safety implications and advises council staff and applicants on appropriate courses of action throughout New Zealand. Janette is known for being practical, knowledgeable and efficient.
